February 5, 2010: I am *all* fired up and ready for the 2010 Walk season!
As one of the top fundraisers for the Avon Walk last year, I was lucky enough to join 8 other walkers for the Grand-Am Rolex 24 at Daytona this past weekend as part of the Dempsey Racing Champions' Circle.
As much as being at the race and riding in a pace car and, especially, meeting Patrick Dempsey were all awesome, meeting the other walkers, many of them breast cancer survivors, and spending time with them and the Avon team was even better. It was so inspiring to hear their stories and so exciting to exchange ideas and it really reminded me of why I walk every year.
I'm thrilled to be signed up for 2 walks again this year: Washington, DC (May 1-2) and Santa Barbara (September 11-12). I hope to see some of you along the route!!
